Data security in this era is quiet somehow critical and beneficial such as it would give you a favor over other competitors or give a disaster . It’s believed that people doesn’t want their data could be accessible by an unauthorized and unwanted user except with their permissions. They’re afraid of personal data leakage because theirs could lead and conclude an opinion over an issue.
For example, let’s say when a country conducts a national election, some parties will try to figure out the map of the distributed vote in order to win this battle. Many ways could be done in fulfilling this need. Right or wrong? They likely and slightly don’t really pay attention to it. They only see the promises behind it. True or not, your data defines yourself. How you behave and react into an event, what’s your next move, and what’s your choice can be found in your data under circumstances. Data really has a various meaning in front of data analyst.
From here, it becomes lands of mine of opportunity.
So, what is a data itself? Well, data is merely collection of word and number. Your name, address, score, dog’s name or your ex are still definitely data. From cambridge’s dictionary, data is information, especially facts or numbers,collected to be examined and considered and used to help decision-making, or information in an electronic form that can be stored and used by a computer.
See? Regardless of misuse of data, a normal human being can become an extraordinary person just by utilizing a bunch of data. It can be seen from all CEO of some startup company. They know the potency laying ahead of them when others think differently. Data could become the most powerful weapon when it comes to address any problem.
Well, talking about securing data, there is no end to discuss who or what we should blame on when leakage happens. Each party will make their own pleading against it while you’re sitting watching them. I know it’s painful. Nothing we can do to react to it besides bringing it to the court. Try to educate yourself, nothing is secured and safe before opening an account. The security always starts from yourself. Identify its term and condition and try to study the worst case scenario it provides.
